Safety and ethics

Integration and safety in ancestral medicine processes

Every process requires preparation, prior assessment, conscious accompaniment and subsequent integration. Safety is not a detail: it is an essential part of the path.

Container

A deep process needs a safe container

Ancestral medicines can open intense experiences on a physical, emotional, energetic and spiritual level. That is why, at Shakti Healing, they are not understood as recreational experiences or quick fixes.

Each process requires a careful container: appropriate preparation, honest prior assessment, ceremony held with presence and subsequent integration.

Depth without care can disorder. Depth with integration can transform.
First listening

Prior assessment

Before confirming any ceremony, a first private conversation takes place. This space allows us to listen to the person's intention, get to know their vital moment and answer important questions.

It is not about automatically accepting anyone or pushing toward an experience. It is about discerning whether this path is appropriate for the person at this moment.

Honest information

Confidential health questionnaire

If after the first assessment it is considered appropriate to move forward, a confidential health questionnaire is sent.

This questionnaire allows us to learn relevant information about the person's physical and emotional state, medical history, current medication, psychological history, substance use, previous experience and motivation.

The questionnaire does not replace medical, psychological or psychiatric care. Its purpose is to help safeguard the safety, preparation and suitability of each process.
Special care

Situations that require special care

Some personal circumstances require special attention and, in some cases, make a ceremonial process inadvisable or in need of postponement:

  • Psychiatric medication or recent medication changes
  • Personal or family history of psychosis, bipolar disorder or other serious psychiatric conditions
  • Intense emotional crises or recent psychological instability
  • Cardiovascular disease or uncontrolled hypertension
  • Epilepsy or other significant neurological disorders
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Active use of alcohol or other substances
  • Recent surgeries or delicate physical states
  • Expectations of quick cure or recreational seeking
